Battle of Grahamstown hid her fortune on Waylands. Waylands is the site of the Siege of Hartebeesfontein 1851 and Smith's Laager. Post Retief featured prominently in the 8th Frontier War ( War of Mlanjeni ). The Post Retief Barracks is a rare example of Frontier War Military Fortification. Visit old war graves and famous battle sites. Guided historical Tours can be arranged.
